This website was built by Lex Maru of Dreamworld Lab, an experimental web development agency focused on big picture world-building and online store design.
In the words of Lex:
"This website is inspired by the design of the original Supreme online store and the original Lafayette Street era.
One of my favorite early memories of Supreme was cutting class during my junior year of high school to make the Bad Brains collab release. I could only afford enough for the red Vans Sk8-Hi collab shoe... when I really should have gotten the I Against I tee, a shirt I still consider a personal grail to this day. Especially the lime green one.
The campouts on Jersey Street, my last one being for the F/W 2008, were also pretty wild and there will never be an era like that again. I met some of my best friends in that time period. I look back at this time fondly.
Fast forward to today, I introduce Soprano World, a work dedicated to the People as well as an homage to Supreme.
This site was meant to be what the "2.0 version" of the classic, simple, and uniquely Supreme website would have looked like in 2006.
Device responsiveness, attention to details, and hidden surprises were carefully developed to deliver a modern yet nostalgic experience without abandoning its original DNA."
